Jack & the Beanstalk bringing panto magic back to the Byre Theatre!

Jack‘Fee-fi-fo-fum, I smell the Byre packed with pantomime fun!’ Yes, that’s right, panto season is fast approaching and the Byre Theatre is getting ready to welcome you to a phantasmagorical fun-filled production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Written and directed by Gordon Barr – the same creative genius responsible for the Byre’s hugely successful Snow White panto in 2012 – Jack and the Beanstalk follows the much-loved story of Jack and his journey up into the giant’s kingdom. This version of the classic family favourite is bursting with a plethora of twists, turns and surprises along the way that will keep the young and old alike gripping the edge of their seats in anticipation. Side-splitting comedy, audience participation (if you’ve got the beans for it!) and songs aplenty also feature in what promises to be a truly magical performance fit for the theatre’s grand re-opening.

It’s been a long wait for those of us in St Andrews to see the Byre open its doors once again, but this pantomime will be remembered for years to come, so stock up on those magic beans* and let Jack and the Beanstalk whisk you away to a fairy tale kingdom where everything from the singing to the shoe size is larger than life!

*Magic beans will not guarantee entry folks, but tickets will, so make sure to visit or phone 0844 477 1000 to purchase yours!
