Ever wondered how the other half live?

The owners of the iconic Hamilton Grand in St Andrews are opening the doors to members of the public for the first time.

Those of you familiar with the building will know that it has been undergoing a multi-million pound renovation over the past three years with the end goal being 26 of Scotland’s most luxurious (and expensive!) homes.

Those interested can can enter a ballot, from which just 36 names will be chosen for the one off tour of the building which is set to take place on June 20th.

The resort’s general manager Daniel Pereira said that “Despite its overwhelming popularity, the Old Course holds fast to tradition, retaining the traditional ballot to give golfers the opportunity to play.

“The ballot reflects the public spirit of St Andrews Links — to stay as open and accessible for all golf lovers.

“It is in this open spirit that we are staging our very own ballot — to provide places on a walking tour through the refurbished Hamilton Grand overlooking the Old Course’s 18th green.”

Many of you perhaps stayed at the Hamilton Grand when it was the University of St Andrews residence Hamilton Hall – and would perhaps be interested to see the changes that have been made?

To register your interest in this unique opportunity email by Monday 17th June.
