Wild at Art is an award-winning local company which combines painting in stunning Scottish locations with excellent art tutors.
One of the highlights of 2015 will be its five-day (residential) or three-day (non-residential) course with the talented Susan Forsyth (pictured) as the tutor, using acrylics in ‘plein air’ painting on the beach or gardens. The course is suitable for all skills levels and the non-residential course costs just £195 – including all materials and lunch each day.
The course (from 23-28 August) is titled “Painting in the Style of the Scottish Colourists”. The Scottish Colourists of the 1920s – Cadell, Peploe, Hunter and Fergusson – took their inspiration from the Impressionists and moved beyond them in interpretation and style. They used natural settings and still life models, infusing these with unique liveliness. This course takes place in the historic Cambo Estate, owned by the Erskine family for over 300 years. It is fifteen minutes south of St Andrews, along the stunning coast of the East Neuk.
